Do you have questions about your Indiana or Howard County ancestry? Interested researching probate records? Searching for a yearbook? Our genealogy staff members will help you answer your questions!
The Genealogy & Local History Department is hosting a Virtual Brick Wall Event on Saturday, February 28, from Noon to 3:00 p.m on the library's Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/KHCPL.org/. This event will let you get some good ideas for next steps if you're stuck in your genealogy research from the comfort of your own home.
We will activate the event page on Saturday. February 28, 2026, at noon. You may then start submitting your questions for our knowledgeable staff to answer.
For us to be able to best answer your question, please have your information organized with any specific names, dates, locations, records, and references needed to help understand and answer your inquiry.
Depending on the nature and complexity of the inquiry, some questions may not be answered during this session. We will do our best to reply during the chat, but some inquiries may require in-person assistance in the KHCPL Genealogy & Local History Department. We can be emailed at glhd@khcpl.org.
