Do you love making or watching local films? Come to the 48-Hour Film Contest! Team entry will be on Aug. 29 at Sun King, and the movie screening will be on Sept. 5 at the Sun King Depot Room.
In this 5th annual event, participants in the contest will receive their rule packet when they register on Friday, Aug. 29. Inside the packet, you'll find the location that must be featured in the video, a line that must be said, the genre your video must be, and any other surprise requirements. Once you pick up your packet, the clock starts and you have 48 hours to write, record, edit, and submit your film.
Registration is required and can only be done from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29 at Sun King Kokomo, 500 N. Buckeye St. Registration can be done by one person on your team, meaning your entire team does not need to be present to register. The deadline for turning in your film will be Sunday Aug. 31 at 8 p.m.
The screening for all completed films will be on Friday, Sept. 5 on the second floor at Sun King Kokomo in the Depot Room. Once the screening is concluded, then awards will be presented to the winning teams.
