Come learn how the vertical file in the Genealogy & Local History Department works and what treasures you can find in it!

The vertical file is made up of filing cabinet drawers that contain newspaper clippings, brochures, maps, pamphlets, booklets, and the like. We'll give you a demonstration of how the vertical file is organized and what types of things you can find it it. Then, you can pick up a scavenger hunt sheet to play detective and learn interesting tidbits about Howard County history!
