Join us for an engaging afternoon honoring African American trailblazers through hands-on activities and inspiring stories. Explore mini golf inspired by George Franklin Grant, the inventor of the modern golf tee, and learn about Lonnie Johnson's creative genius with a Super Soaker station. Dive into a stoplight craft celebrating Garrett Morgan's life-saving invention and reach for the stars with a rocket craft honoring Mae Jemison, the first African American woman in space. The event also features poetry and reading stations with Indiana author Jalysa King, showcasing her powerful works.
